Wella put on a spectacular show with over 40 finalists and 500 attendees. There was a lot at stake for the team and i. We all invested a huge amount of time and effort into this competition and truly deserved to there among Australasia's best talent.
The competition was fierce. Everyone wanted to win the ticket to Barcelona and represent their country by competing in Wella's International competition coming up in November 2016. There was only four winners, and i was won of them!
I have competed in this competition for 10 years and not taken the title so it was a big moment for me. The perseverance and push to get here have been worth it, and I can't wait to get to Barcelona and compete.
My model, Kia Dirkson was incredible. It's the first time i have worked with her type of hair, so for me it was a real risk. But that's what i love. The challenge of working outside of my comfort zone, and producing a something i'm really proud of. I styled Kia with an outfit i made, and used gold leaf on her beautiful skin. I can't wait to work with Kia again in Barcelona.
My team also did incredibly well and i am so proud of them all.
